I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change is a witty musical revue that tackles modern love in all its forms: from the perils and pitfalls of the first date to marriage, children, and the twilight years of life.
Set in the modern world and told in a series of vignettes and songs I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change traces the overall arc of relationships throughout the course of a life. An insightful and hilarious musical, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change will have audience members shouting, “This is my life!”

Casting Information
Free- Rain Theatre Company has now opened Expressions of Interest for our musical production of I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change.
We are looking for versatile actors who are strong solo singers with the ability to blend with others. Above all we are seeking individuals who bring heart, energy, creativity, commitment and a team spirit. We encourage people from all ethnicities, cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations and ages to apply.
Group Audition Workshop
- The Creatives will be conducting a workshop on Sunday 22 March from 2pm to 4.30pm, at the Cook Community Hub.
- We are seeking 4 to 8 versatile performers of all ages and genders to play multiple characters ranging in age from 20’s to 80’s. All roles are open for casting.
- The character combinations will depend on artists chosen.
Workshop Format
Singing
- Artists are asked to prepare a song that demonstrates their vocal ability and range, preferable in the style of I Love You You’re Perfect Now Change (Contemporary Broadway). This is to be 20 to 30 bars in length.
- Please provide your own instrumental backing track. A Bluetooth speaker and connection will be available on the day.
Acting
- Artists will be sent a short excerpt of script prior to the workshop to read.
- Be prepared to work with others to present the scene. You may read from the page.
Movement
- Participants will be taught a short movement sequence at the workshop.
