David H. Bennett

Born in Oklahoma and reared in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri, David has been acting for
over 60 years. Playing the Doctor in Streetcar is a bit of a return to his roots, as his first
performance in Canberra was in Streetcar playing Mitch (Canberra REP, 1975).

This is his second play with Free-Rain. He played Beverly Weston in August: Osage County, a role that he
will reprise later this year. David has worked professionally in film and TV.

David won Canberra Rep’s Helen Wilson Award for Lenny in Rumours and a CAT Award for Actor in a Featured Role for Colonel Looseleaf Harper in Happy Birthday, Wanda June.

David has worked professionally in film and TV. He has appeared in My Brilliant Career, Phar Lap, The Challenge, The Last Bastion, The Last Resort, and Willing and Able among other productions.
