
David Pearson
David is a versatile performer whose career spans musicals, opera, theatre and cabaret.
In Australia, David has appeared in the premieres of Titanic: The Musical, Jekyll and Hyde, Only Everything and the acclaimed Nigredo Hotel, alongside a wide range of productions including Sweeney Todd, The Phantom of the Opera, Carousel, West Side Story, 42nd Street, South Pacific and Godspell. Non-musical highlights include Fitzwilliam Darcy in Pride and Prejudice, Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Cooley in Don’s Party.
While studying in the UK, David toured with the Royal Academy of Music Choir accompanying Sir Elton John, made his West End debut in Behind the Iron Mask, and performed as baritone soloist in Leonard Bernstein’s Mass with the London Symphony Orchestra. He also appeared at Patti Smith’s Meltdown Festival and worked with the English National Opera’s Bayliss outreach program.
A champion of new works and voices, David is delighted to bring his love of bad accents and daggy dancing to I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change.
