Kristy Griffin (she/her)

Kristy is a graduate of LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore, receiving a full scholarship to complete a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre. She also holds an MBA (Arts & Cultural Management), Grad. Dip. Ed (Dance & Drama) and is a graduate of Brent Street Studios. She has been a nominee for the SIA Theatre Award and the Green Room Awards. Kristy has worked with Melbourne Cabaret Festival, AKA Australia, Disney, and Singapore Repertory Theatre among many others. Kristy has been a faculty member at prestigious performing arts training institutions including Ministry of Dance, Brent Street Studios and LASALLE College of the Arts. Professional theatre credits have included Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie (Singapore), national tour as Sally in The Cat in the Hat, and Woman 2 / Choreographer in Edges: A Song Cycle, Swing at Universal Studios Singapore, and developing and touring Asia in the title role in a new musical – Goldlilocks, with West End team Anthony Drewe and George Stiles.

An award-winning theatre artist, Kristy has worked in most facets of theatre including direction, production management and producing, her focus off the stage being choreography. Kristy has choreographed countless musicals and won several awards and is a state choreographer for the Australian Girls Choir (ACT). She has directed several plays and musicals, a highlight being The Importance of Being Earnest at the Malthouse Theatre. Kristy’s governance experience extends to several Melbourne theatre organisations. She has established a career in arts programming through roles at the City of Whittlesea, Tuggeranong Arts Centre, and the Canberra Theatre Centre.
