Past plays and roles – highlights:

Arms and the Man (Sergius, Bluntschli); Importance of Being Earnest (John Worthing); Picnic (Hal Carter); Bedroom Farce (Nick); The Man (Howard Wilton).

More recently, following retirement and half a century on and off in theatre, Neil played Telegin in Uncle Vanya (CAT Award nomination), and the Old Man and Seyward in Macbeth.

In 2017 he appeared as Ablett in Trelawny of the ‘Wells’, Wally in Australia Day and Emperor Joseph II in Amadeus in 2023 – all for Rep.

In 2018 he played Antonio in Much Ado About Nothing for Shakespeare By the Lakes. He also acted the part of The Old Man in Fool For Love in Sydney in 2019.

Neil is delighted to be playing Sorin in Seagull in April 2024. He has also recently recorded a dozen or so podcasts, written or adapted by local creative identity, Bart Meehan.
