We couldn’t do this without you.

If you love ACT Hub productions, we’d love for you to be part of our story. ACT Hub is a welcoming, inclusive, independent theatre collective where everyone is valued and appreciated. We’re always happy to hear from people who would like to contribute to ACT Hub and maybe even learn some new skills along the way.

How you can get involved.

With a couple of hours, you could support ACT Hub productions…

We are incredibly grateful to anyone who can offer their time to support an ACT Hub production. We can provide training if needed, and as a thank you for donating your time, you will receive:

• a comp ticket for the production you support.
• access to purchase two additional $25 tickets for any performance of that same production (our cheapest ticket price on offer!).

Production support roles:

• Set construction
• Costume sourcing and construction
• Properties sourcing and acquisition
• Rigging lights for a production design
• Returning lights to the standard rig post-production
• Bump-in
• Bump-out
• Placement of stickers on road signs and A-frames for each production
• Distribution of road signs in the lead-up to a production opening
• Collection and return of road signs after a production closes
• Working bees

With a little more time, you could be part of a Profit Share…

Profit share is calculated after ticketing and ACT Hub expenses, and is dependent on box office return. The individual companies at ACT Hub manage their own profit share arrangements for each production, and as such, some productions may require more support than others.

Profit share roles:

• Director
• Cast members
• Set Designer
• Costume Designer
• Lighting Designer
• Sound Designer
• Stage Manager / Lighting & Sound Operator (Usually a combined role. Training is available.)
• Marketing support *

* ACT Hub has designated Marketing personnel who always appreciate additional support on individual productions.

With consistent availability, you could join our Paid Roster…

Every performance requires staff on Box Office and Bar to ensure our patrons enjoy the ACT Hub experience. These roles are paid on invoice and training is available.

Paid roles:

• Box Office – 1 required each performance at $25.00/hr for 2hrs.
• Bar – 1 required each performance at $25.00/hr for approx. 4hrs.
  (RSA required; ACT Hub will support this accreditation.)
