ACT Hub’s mission is to nurture and champion local artists and creatives so they can thrive both here in the ACT and beyond.
ACT Hub does not receive any government funding, so we rely on our patrons, donors and partners to support and sustain our mission.
As Australia’s capital, Canberra deserves to experience exciting, vibrant theatre and for it to be performed by the brilliant array of talent this city has to offer.
Your support allows us to invest in ACT Hub’s essential equipment and capacity to stage productions, so we can nourish and sustain the talented collective of Canberran theatre practitioners who congregate and create at ACT Hub.

Power the Hub
Did you have a good night? Did you enjoy the show? Would you like to help us keep this special place humming?
Actors don’t like to act in the dark! Help us keep the lights on at ACT HUB by making a one-off donation or a regular fortnightly or monthly donation of any amount, to our daring and determined independent theatre collective.
For $5 or $10 a month you’ll help us keep the lights on. For a little bit more, say $20 or $30 a month, you can help us keep the lawn mown, the possums out, and maybe even heat and cool the place!
Take a Seat
Pull up a chair and make your mark at ACT HUB.
For $550 you can Take A Seat and support a community space where emerging directors and artists are nurtured as they develop and practice their craft.
Your generosity will be remembered with an engraved plaque on the back of a seat at ACT Hub. You might name your seat after yourself, your family, a loved one, or that fur baby that holds a special place in your heart.

Hub-Athon – annual campaign
Our annual Hub-Athon fundraising campaign is as much a community occasion as it is a theatrical one. This is your chance to be part of Canberra’s independent theatre community; to come together and show what we’re made of. All funds raised from donations and tickets go directly towards supporting ACT Hub and its mission.
Donations are collected through the Australian Cultural Fund (ACF). ACT Hub receives all funds raised, even if our target is not met. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
2026: 24 Hour Hub-Athon plus three special performances of Into the Woods.
