
Hannah Ley (she/her)
Hannah trained in Dance at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) in the UK, & worked in dance and television production (BBC and ITV), before relocating to Australia in 2007.
Over 8 years in the ACT, Hannah performed with many of Canberra’s theatre companies and was a proud board member of QL2 Centre for Youth Dance, and Canberra Dance Theatre. Productions included:
- For Canberra Repertory: Hayfever (CAT Award, 2008), An Ideal Husband, Les Liasions Dangereuses and And Then There Were None.
- For Papermoon: A Lie of the Mind
- For Free Rain: Three Sisters, The Shape of Things, Singin’ in the Rain and Chicago.
A constant of Everyman Theatre since its inception in 2008, covering a range of duties from sound operator (Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me) to assistant stage manager (Latin! Or Tobacco and Boys), Hannah took on the roles of Lady Anne (Richard III), The Dancer (Singer! Dancer! Actor!) and June in both the 2009 and 2013 seasons of The Musical of Musicals The Musical, winning a Canberra Critics Circle award for the latter season. She was last seen on an Australian stage in A Tale of Two Cities as Madame Defarge/Stryver for The Q.
Since moving back to the UK in 2015, Hannah has performed in Legally Blonde, School Daze, Made in Dagengam, Private Lives and Nasty Neighbours, and is currently in rehearsal for The Wizard of Oz as the iconic Glinda.
Additionally, Hannah is a sought after Movement Director. Productions include:

- The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time
- and 5 Stories from 15 Heroines.
Hannah is a member of The Butterlies Event Dance Company.
Hannah could not be more delighted to be back (temporarily) in Canberra, and to be recreating June all over again.
