Nick Griffin (he/him)

Nicholas Griffin is an acclaimed musical director and vocal coach whose career spans over 15 years across theatre, television, and live performance. He has helmed the music for more than 30 productions, bringing his trademark precision, wit, and musicality to stages around Australia.

Recent credits include Billy Elliot The Musical (Matt Ward Entertainment), Ruthless! The Musical (Echo Theatre Company), We Will Rock You (Packemin Productions), and the Hayes Theatre productions of The Life of Us, Siblingship, Cry-Baby, and The View UpStairs. Nicholas’s extensive body of work also includes acclaimed seasons of Kinky Boots, Les Misérables, Wicked, and Mary Poppins.

As a pianist and vocal coach, Nicholas has worked alongside some of the industry’s most celebrated artists, including Delta Goodrem (Christmas With Delta Goodrem – Nine Network), Patti LuPone (Don’t Monkey With Broadway), Rachael Beck, and Karen Knowles. He regularly collaborates with leading theatre companies, providing musical direction, arranging, and performance coaching for both professional and emerging performers.

Returning to Musical of Musicals (The Musical!) after music-directing the 2013 Everyman Theatre production, Nicholas brings a wealth of experience, comedic timing, and a deep love for the genre to this satirical celebration of musical theatre itself.
